Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Consensus Estate ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects personal information about visitors to consensusestate.com and people who contact us via our website forms. We are based in London, United Kingdom and are committed to complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Consensus Estate is a property management company providing short-term and medium-term rental management services to London landlords. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Consensus Estate is the data controller for the personal data we collect through this website.

2. What data we collect

When you submit a landlord enquiry or booking request via our website, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your company name (if provided)
  • The property address and information you choose to share
  • Details of your enquiry or, for bookings, your check-in and check-out dates and purpose of stay

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that profile you. We do not require a cookie consent banner because no tracking cookies are deployed.

3. Why we collect it (legal basis)

We process your data to respond to your enquiry or booking request — this is processing necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Where we contact you about a service you have previously enquired about, we rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) to manage that business relationship.

4. How we store your data

Enquiry data submitted via the website is stored in our secure backend database, hosted on infrastructure within the European Economic Area. Access is restricted to authorised members of the Consensus Estate team. We retain enquiry data for as long as is necessary to respond to and, where relevant, manage an ongoing business relationship, after which it is securely deleted.

5. Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate this site:

  • Our managed backend and database provider (used to securely store enquiry submissions)
  • Read-only iCal feeds from booking platforms such as Airbnb, used to display availability on property pages
  • Our blog publishing system

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request rectification of inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data (the "right to be forgotten")
  • Request restriction or object to processing
  • Request portability of your data
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

7. Contact

To exercise any of your rights or to ask a question about this Privacy Policy, please email hello@consensusestate.com.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above.
